University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarship Details:
The University of Newcastle International Excellence Scholarship has been established to attract high-performing international students to the University of Newcastle for study in 2024 and beyond.
The scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that recognises applicants with a strong academic background and incentivises them to continue striving to be the best that they can be.

University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the University of Newcastle scholarship, you must:
- Be commencing study in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Newcastle in 2024 and beyond at an Australian or online campus as indicated in your Letter of Offer.
- Be an International full-fee paying student.
- Not be the beneficiary of a separate University scholarship unless prior approval for special dispensation has been obtained from the university.
- Meet all of the financial obligations of a full-fee paying international student, including the full tuition fee and other expenses for the purpose of obtaining your student visa.
University of Newcastle Excellence Scholarships Duration and Reward
- The International Excellence Scholarship is valued at $8,000 for each year of study under full-time study load. The maximum value would be AU$32,000 over a full-time 4-year degree.
- The Health Excellence Scholarship value ranges from AU$4,000 to AU$12,000 per year for a standard full-time study load (80 units) in an eligible program. The maximum value would be AU$48,000 over a full-time 4-year degree.
- The Business and Management Excellence Scholarship value also ranges from AU$4,000 to AU$12,000 per year for a standard full-time study load (80 units) in an eligible program. The maximum value would be AU$48,000 over a full-time 4-year degree.
- The benefit of any of the awards will be applied directly to your university tuition fee account as a reduction in fees against the amount of credits initially issued in your Letter of Offer.
