About You
- Minimum of five years nursing management experience with increasing level of responsibility and authority
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Currently registered nurse licensure with the Ghana Nurses and Midwives Council
- Strong leadership and management skills are essential
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
- Accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect patient/family cantered care across the continuum of perioperative
Responsibilities
- Creates and conveys the mission and vision of radiological, ambulatory care, perioperative and post- operative services with the assistance of the management team
- Ensures that the nursing and ancillary personnel provide safe and effective patient-cantered care
- Assist personnel in evaluating practice and creating strategies for further improvement
- Verifies that educational resources are available for personnel and holds personnel accountable for compliance with established standards
- Coordinates, facilitates and manages change within the medical centre services and the healthcare facility
- Implements and demonstrates effective communication, consultation, negotiation and collaboration skills with members of the multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders
- Collects and analyses date related to quality or performance improvement projects that apply to perioperative services
- Use effective conflict resolution techniques
- Facilities and serves as a member of multidisciplinary team in planning patient care
- Evaluate nursing personnel performance
- Interview for potential personnel selection
- Assists personnel in verifying that appropriate personnel, equipment and supplies are available.
- Verifies departmental compliance with organisational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards
- Provides leadership while practicing as a nurse with management dutieS
- Provides guidance support and constructive feedback to nursing personnel team members and other team members as appropriate
