To be considered for the University of Michigan High Potential Scholarship, you must:

  • Have submitted an application to the University of Michigan for a full-time program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
  • Meet U.S. visa requirements for international study
  • Not be a citizen of the United States, the European Union/EEA, Switzerland, or Surinam.
  • Demonstrate remarkable scholastic accomplishments, ranking in the top 5% of applicants.
  • Have never attended a degree-seeking program in the United States (participants in exchange programs are accepted).
  • Be younger than 45 on September 1, 2024.
