Per the Controller and Accountant General Department’s (CAGD) Payment schedule for 2023, in the month of August, workers are expected to start receiving their salaries from Friday, 25th of August, 2023.

This, therefore, means that payment vouchers would be released between Friday, 18th, and Monday, 21st August, 2023 for validation to take place. CAGD usually gives a grace period of 48-72 hours for validators to log on to the ESPV Platform to make sure that all workers are accurately validated.

The CAGD then forwards the Payment Vouchers to the various banks after validation is completed. The banks also perform the necessary tasks and then start crediting their customers.

Most banks do well in crediting their customers as early as possible, GCB Bank is believed to be the first to do so, followed by ADB Bank.

The only thing that sometimes disrupts the payment schedule is when there are technical challenges on the side of either Controller or the banks.
