Applicants must obtain at least a Second Class Lower Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Bachelor’s degree should be in an IT/Computer Science related field

A GIMPA Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration for applicants with Third Class or Pass
Chartered Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICA, ICSA, GIPS, CIB, plus three years’ post-qualification experience. Equivalencies of Professional certificates should be determined by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR PROGRAMMES
WASSCE/SSCE/GBCE Candidates:
Credit Passes (A1-C6) or (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
GCE“A”Level Candidates:
Passes in three (3) GCE “A” Level subjects (at least one of the passes should be Grade “D” or better) plus five (5) GCE “O” Level credit passes (Grades 1-6) including English Language and Mathematics. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
Higher National Diploma (Top-Up) Applicants
Admission of Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates to first degree programmes to either Level 200 or 300 depending on the relativeness of programmes.
Applicants must have graduated with a good HND certificate (at least second-class lower division). Other diploma qualifications from elsewhere assessed to be equivalent to HND by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) may be similarly considered.
Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Applicants
Full Diploma in ABCE.
Credit Passes (WASSCE: A1-C6) or (SSSCE/GBCE: A-D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English language and Mathematics, plus two (2) relevant elective subjects. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
ABCE applicants may be considered at Level 200 of a degree programme.
Mature Applicants
Applicants can also apply through GIMPA’s Mature Programme. Mature applicants must:
Be at least 25 years of age at the time of application;
Have completed SSS/SHS or taken an equivalent programme;
Possess a proof of age (passport, baptismal card, birth certificate etc.) issued not less than
5 years from application date;
Complete the undergraduate application form;
Have taken and passed the GIMPA Mature Programme
Upon passing the Mature programme, applicants are directly enrolled on the chosen
Bachelor Degree programme.

Applicants are expected to collect a copy of their payment slip from the Bank

Applicants must take note that the process for admission to GIMPA is very transparent. Applicants should therefore beware of any persons who may approach them under the pretext of assisting them gain admission at a fee.
Note: Applicants who graduated from GIMPA, from 2014 to date should indicate their student identification numbers on their application forms before submission.
