The fully funded Rosa Luxembourg Foundation Scholarship offers an annual grant of €16,800 to cover living and research expenses, including health benefits.

Applications for the 2024 DAAD Rosa Luxembourg Scholarship are now open for domestic and international students.
The RLF is a political educational organization closely affiliated with DIE LINKE (The Left Party) which awards scholarships to international students planning to obtain a doctorate or carry out a doctoral research stay in Germany.
The sponsorship is based upon the Foundation’s political values: social justice and solidarity in particular

Eligibility Requirements for Rosa Luxembourg Foundation Scholarship 2024
To be considered for the Rosa Luxembourg Foundation Scholarship 2024, you must possess the following:
- enrolment at a state or state-recognized higher education institution in Germany
- supervision by a university lecturer in Germany
- very good graduate degree
- social engagement in line with the values of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation
- proficiency in German at a B2 level at least (proof required)
Benefits of DAAD Rosa Luxembourg Scholarship 2024
- Doctoral candidates receive a grant of 1,450 EUR each month plus a mobility allowance of 100 EUR and, if necessary, health care subsidies.
- 2 years with the option to extend the period twice for 6 months for academic or technical reasons, and up to another year due to illness, disability, or parental leave.
