Eira Francis Davies Scholarship Details:
The Eira Francis Davies (EDS) Full Fees Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship ordinarily awarded to one outstanding female student per academic year.
The student must be a national of and resident in an eligible developing country, who pursues a postgraduate taught Master’s programme within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science
Previous Eira Francis Davies Scholarship recipients have come from a range of different academic backgrounds and have travelled from many different countries.
Eira Francis Davies Scholarship Requirements 2024:
To be considered for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship (EFD) full fees scholarship, you must:
- hold a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- have formally accepted an offer to study at Swansea University in September 2024:
- be female.
- be a new student to Swansea University from September 2024.
- within their application, demonstrate strong academic ability, financial plan to study and motivation for their chosen course at Swansea University.
- be a national, and permanent resident of an EFD Eligible Countries as listed by the World Bank Country and Lending Groups classification as being ‘low income’ or ‘lower-middle income’ as of 1 July 2023.
- not receive any other financial support from Swansea University (e.g. tuition fee reduction, scholarship or bursary).
- not be a progressing student from The College, Swansea University.

Method of Application
To apply for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should follow the procedures below;
- Apply and be formally accepted an offer to study an eligible program for September 2024 entry.
- You must complete and submit the application form online before 26 May 2024, 11:59pm (BST).
- All applications will be considered by a scholarship committee. Shortlisted applicants then may be invited to interview as part of the selection process.
- Decisions will be made by 5th July 2024.
