The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced to all teaching staff that results for the promotion test held in February, 2023 have been released.
In a letter released on Thursday, 17th August, 2023, and signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of Public Relations Unit of GES, out of 80,810 candidates who sat for the test, 55,917 of them passed which represents 69%.
The following are the grades involved:
Deputy Director
Assistant Director
Assistant Director II
Principal Superintendent
4,655 candidates out of 8, 565 representing 54% passed for the grade of Deputy Director.
A total of 21, 749 who took the test for Assistant Director I were also successful. The figure also represents 85% of the total 25,556 of the total candidates.
(24, 581 ) 61% of the 40,020 candidates for the promotion of Assistant Director II grade were also successful.
The grade of Principal Superintendent, a number of 4, 932 were also successful out of the total of 6,668 candidates who sat for the test. This also represents 74% passed.
The GES, however stated for this year’s batch of promotions, an SMS will be sent to all candidates who took part in the exams whether one was successful or not.
Formal letters will also be released at a later date, meaning that there will be no promotion site for candidates to access their results.
