The management of the National Service Scheme has secured the approval from the government for the increment of monthly allowances for National Service Personnel from GH¢559.04 to GH¢715.57, taking retrospective from January, 2023.
In a statement issued and signed by the Acting Director of Corporate Affairs of NSS, Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr, the approval was granted by the Deputy Finance Minister, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare.
The statement indicated that, the approval was a result of engagements between National Service Scheme, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and the Ministry of Finance.
It has therefore directed the Controller and Accountant General to make the adjustments of the allowances to the personnel.
This means that, the current NSS Personnel and are due their arrears will receive upward adjustment from January, 2023.
