Ghana Updates Online can reliably confirm that, the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) through the banks have started crediting public sector workers for the month of August. Most workers with GCB Bank received their salaries on Friday, 25th August, 2023.
As we earlier reported on the validation for the month of August, we noted that GCB Bank mostly credit their customers earlier than other banks in Ghana. We also said that workers should start receiving their salaries from Friday depending on your bank.
One can also change their bank from the current bank to GCB Bank to receive their salaries earlier than expected. Find out Here.
Other public sector workers who are not with GCB Bank should brace themselves to receive their salaries on Monday, 28th August, 2023.
Any delay in the salary after 31st August, may be for several reasons which may include
- Non validation by your validator
- Technical challenges or an error from your bank
- Your validator mistakenly marked you as Payment issues, Discontinue payment or Unknown during validation.
One should quickly alert his/her validator or bank if there is a delay in payment from his/her bank.
