The National Communications Authority and the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization in conjunction with the Telecos have introduced a shot code effective Monday, 1st May, 2023 for customers of the Telecos in Ghana to verify and check the number of SIMs linked to their Ghana Cards.
Here are the steps to follow.
- Dial *402*1# on your phone from any network in Ghana
- Enter your Ghana Card PIN (Enter the Letters and figures without hyphens) for verification. GHXXXXXXXXX43
- Enter your Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY), Example if your Date of Birth is 11th May 1990, Enter 11051990
- Once it is verified, an SMS will be sent to you with a list of mobile numbers/SIMs linked to your Ghana Card, which will include the networks. Example: MTN – 024xxxxxxx – M, Vodafone – 020xxxxxxx – V
Please contact your Network Provider if you detect any unknown number linked to your Ghana Card.
