Some Government workers wish to change their Banks on the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) E-Pay Slip platform. But this option is not available to access on the Payslip. Controller is making sure that Users account are secured, reasons why some options are not available.
You may wish to change your bank because of several reasons which may include but not limited to
- Delay in payments
- The Banks become inactive
- Challenges the bank is having etc.
These are the steps to follow to change your current bank to a different bank.
1. Write a letter requesting a change of bank account
Details needed in the letter
- Full Name
- Staff ID
- Current Bank Name, Account Number and Branch
- New Bank Name, Account Number, Full Name on the Account and Branch.
2. Submit the letter to your Superior at your workplace to attach a cover letter (i.e. Your Director, Headmaster etc)
3. Visit your Current Bank and put in a request for a clearance letter. Please note without the clearance letter, you can not proceed
4. Visit the Controller’s Office in your District/Region to submit all the necessary. (You may need your Ghana Card to confirm your identity.)
5. Submit a copy to your Regional or District Human Resource Department.
Please ensure that all your details are properly submitted to prevent any wrong entries.
