Kwaso in the Ashanti Region. PFL is looking for a self motivated and an enthusiastic individual
with strong Financial Analysis and Auditing background to join the team as a Senior Accountant
Job Profile
o Have general oversight responsibility over all financial transactions of the company, and also see to the preparation and analysis of various company transactions. Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements and Management Reports to support Executive Management in decision making.
o Responsible for auditing company processes relating to Contracts, Payments and Taxes.
Location & Reporting Line
The role is based at Premium Foods Limited, Ejisu Kwaso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. S/h e
will be reporting and working directly with the Managing Director on all internal financial controls,
processes and procedures.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
- Auditing process within the company relating to contracts, payments and taxes.
- Preparing and presenting financial statements as a true representation of the financial position, financial performance and cash flows of the period under review.
- Ensuring and assuring management and the board of timely submission of relevant financial information to all stakeholders (such as Tax Authorities, Local Authorities, Managing Director and the Board of Directors).
- Proactively manage the year end audit process and the external auditors.
- Coordinating all the company internal and external auditing processes such as Financial, Taxes and Prices etc.
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and supervising the asset accounting in the Fixed Assets ledger.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
- Perform any other tasks directly related to auditing, financial analysis, process development and implementation or as explicitly directed by the Managing Director.
Qualification, Work Experience Requirement & Key Competencies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with 5 to 10 years working experience OR a Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with between 3 to 5 years of cumulative practice or work experience, preferably belonging to a local or international Finance or Accounting professional body as an active member.
• Must possess a working knowledge of Tax Laws and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Must have practiced in the FMCG space within his working life
• Must have Strong financial analysis and communication skills (written and oral).
• Must have Strong and proven organizational and stress management skills.
• Must have upscaled proficiency in ICT skills and competencies particularly Microsoft Applications and systems including Excel, Word PowerPoint etc.
• Ability to train and manage Staff as well as operate under very minimal supervision
• Must possess self-motivation and self-direction skills and be able to largely manage confidentiality at a higher level.
