Position: Senior Manager, Human Resource (HR) Operations
Level: 3H
Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer
Job Summary:
Manage and optimize HR Operational activities by ensuring the execution of HR process and initiatives. The role oversees HR Business Partner Networks, HR efficiency, Employee engagement, talent management, compliance with relevant regulations and provide second line of assurance for reward and recognition.
Job Role:
HR Operations
- Develop, implement, and optimize HR Policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective HR Operations across all business units.
- Provide leadership and oversee the activities of the HR Business Partner team.
- Streamline HR operations and related processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Strategize recruitment efforts ensuring a diverse and talented workforce in collaboration with Functional leadership.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development (L&D) team to continuously enhance the onboarding process to foster a positive and engaging experience for new hires to facilitate a seamless integration.
Employee Relations
- Develop and implement tailored business unit employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive work culture, satisfaction, and retention.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees as needed.
Performance Management
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring goal alignment and providing guidance on performance improvement plans, when necessary, of immediate team.
- Collaborate with Organizational Development (OD) team to deploy performance Management companywide.
- Facilitate talent development and succession planning initiatives in collaboration with OD team to support organizational long-term growth.
Learning and Development
- Collaborate with L&D team to design and implement effective training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Identify learning needs and create development opportunities to foster continuous learning and career growth for immediate team. Additionally provide advisory services to Line Managers.
Compliance, Regulatory and Labour Relation
- Ensure HR practices comply with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies and provide advisory to Line Managers.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and HR trends, recommending improvements to maintain a competitive edge.
- Union management and collective bargaining in collaboration with the Employee Experience Team.
Compensation Management
- Provide HR expert advice and recommendations related to employee pensions, PAYE, and payroll review.
- Process payroll checks and reviews.
HR Metrics and Reporting
- Establish key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of HR initiatives, preparing regular reports for leadership.

Education:
- A University Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- A postgraduate qualification or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SPHR, etc.) is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an HR leader with a track record of successfully managing HR Operations (End to end per tasks identified in job profile) and driving strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities in complex HR situations.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
Knowledge:
- Labor Act and relevant regulations
- PAYE management and processing
- Knowledge of HRIS Systems, Oracle Enterprise BI suite
- Financial acumen – Budget Management
- Data analysis and reporting
