The Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) on Friday, 21st June, 2024 released the monthly salary voucher for the month of June, 2024. One of the mandates or functions of CAGD is to make sure that workers employed by the Government are paid their monthly salaries.
For that to be efficient and effective, the CAGD releases the payment vouchers for each month for validators to validate or confirm members of staff on their payment vouchers.
The validation is expected to last for seventy-two (72) hours, after which Controller process these payment vouchers to the various banks for workers to be paid. Per the CAGD proposed validation and Payment dates for 2024, salaries are expected to be paid from Thursday, 27th June, 2024.
