Microsoft has made significant strides in expanding the availability of Bing AI, powered by ChatGPT-4, to a wider audience.

Initially available only to Microsoft Edge users, Bing AI is now being rolled out to Google Chrome and Safari browsers as well. A pop-up notification has been appearing on Windows 10 and 11 taskbars, inviting users to access Bing AI in Chrome, and some Safari users have also reported gaining access.

One notable improvement is the addition of a native dark theme for Bing AI in Google Chrome. This dark mode aligns with Microsoft Edge’s dark theme and provides a more visually appealing experience.

Moreover, Microsoft is actively developing a new feature called “No search” or “ChatGPT-like mode” for Bing AI. This enhancement aims to provide a faster and more efficient way for users to interact with Bing. Currently, Bing relies on web searches to answer user queries, but with “no search” support, Bing will behave more like ChatGPT, utilizing its AI capabilities to respond to user inquiries without frequent web crawling.

One of the recent updates to Bing AI includes the introduction of visual search. This feature uses OpenAI’s image recognition technology to describe and interpret images, allowing users to receive relevant answers related to the pictures they provide.

Microsoft assures users that Bing will remain free and that the enterprise edition will continue to operate independently.

As Microsoft continues to enhance Bing AI’s capabilities and expand its availability, users can look forward to a more powerful and user-friendly search experience.
