Requirements:
Certificate accredited by the nurses and midwifery council
Minimum 3 years of working experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular check-ups on pregnant women to monitor their health and the progress of the pregnancy.
- Providing guidance and support to pregnant women on various aspects of pregnancy, including nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being.
- Performing routine prenatal tests, such as blood pressure monitoring, urine analysis, and fetal heart rate monitoring.
- Assisting and supporting women during labor and childbirth, both in hospitals and home births.
- Monitoring the progress of labor, assessing the vital signs of the mother and baby, and ensuring their safety.
- Providing pain management techniques and offering emotional support to women in labor.
- Providing care to women and newborns immediately after childbirth.
- Assisting with breastfeeding support and guiding newborn care and postpartum recovery.
- Conducting postpartum check-ups to monitor the health and well-being of the mother and baby.
- Offering emotional support and counseling to new mothers and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient information, including prenatal visits, labor progression, delivery details, and postpartum care.
