The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has increased the cost of water services effective Thursday 1 June, 2023 a day after it announced an 18.36% increase in Electricity Tariffs.
This information was contained in a letter signed by the Executive Secretary of PURC, Dr. Ishmael Ackah.
The Commission took cognizance of the cost of electricity, increased volume/cost of chemicals for raw water treatment, the Ghana Cedi/US Dollar exchange rate, and inflation.
