JOB POSITION: Senior, Audit & Assurance

The Senior Auditor is responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects including the completion of assignment tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members in meeting client, and self-development expectations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish work schedules through effective use of project management techniques.
  • Manage one or more client assignments simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
  • Identify client’s needs/opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services.
  • Draft client reports.
  • Share and transfer knowledge within the team.
  • Develop deeper knowledge and skills in technical field.
  • Start to develop a specialization.
  • Actively pursue self-development opportunities in line with the competency mode.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with client management and peer client levels.
  • In consultation with the assignment manager organize and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment objectives.
  • Manage the implementation of solutions for client.
  • Advise and coach team members, provide consistent recognition and encouragement to team members, and sets an example by demonstrating high energy levels and enthusiasm.
  • Ensure project components and assignment tasks are completed on time.
  • Successfully direct and maintain a motivated and empowered work team.
  • Perform a detailed review of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
  • Identify opportunities to improve assignment profitability and identify any risk management issues.
  • Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business.
  • Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Actively supports new initiatives.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Partners & Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Candidate should be a Chartered Accountant
  • 3 years or more experience in accounting and auditing

 

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent knowledge in accounting software preferably QuickBooks and Sage 50.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Team player with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in delivery of quality client service.
  • A working knowledge of firm products and services.
  • A general understanding of market trends including opportunities, global and local business initiatives and stakeholder/competitor interests.
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • An expert knowledge of firm products and services
