Societe Generale Ghana PLC, a market leader in the financial services industry with countrywide representation is seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Officer.
The successful candidate will assist Head Legal in the performance of his functions and also serve as a back-up
KEY RESULT AREAS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of Pre-Disbursement Facility Documentation
- Providing General Legal Advice
- Representing Bank in Court and at CHRAJ as well as initiating suits on behalf of the Bank
- Providing support and regular follow up on all fraud cases discovered by the Audit Department and/or any branch, unit, department or division
- Ensuring that all services provided to the Bank are covered by Legal Agreements
- Renewal of Tenancy Agreement
- Liaising with Human Resources on Labour issues
- Acquisitions and Registration of Land Documents over property owned by the Bank
- Working on the Operational Risk Reports and Compliance Reports of the Legal Department
- Confirmation of collaterals held by the Bank for the Business Units
- Performance of all assigned PSP Controls
- Acting for the Head of Legal in the absence of the Deputy Head of Legal
- Generally assist the Head, Legal in the performance of his duties

QUALIFICATION(S)

First Degree in Law or its equivalent professional qualification

Barrister at Law

At least 15 years relevant Post Qualification Experience
