3. Fort Prinzenstein – Keta
Fort Prinzenstein is located at Keta in the Keta Municipality of Ghana which was used in the slave trade. Many such forts were built in Africa, but Prinzenstein is one of the few that lie east of the Volta River.
The Fort was built by Danish traders in the year 1784 for defensive purposes after the Sagbadre War against the Anlo Ewe and to keep the area safe from other colonial powers. The majority of the materials, especially the stone used for the building of the fort, was transported from Accra.

4. Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary – Tafi Atome
Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary is a monkey hamlet where you can interact with a variety of wild but playful monkeys for entertainment purposes and located in the Afadzato South District of Ghana. The community has over 1000 residents
The sanctuary is a community-based ecotourism project that houses Mona and Patas monkeys. It was founded in 1993 under the guidance of a Peace Corps Volunteer as a community-based ecotourism initiative.

5. Ote Falls/ Canopy Walkway – Amedzofe
One of the many places for visitors to Amedzofe is the Ote Falls aside the Mountain Gemi and located in the Ho West District of the Volta Region of Ghana. The waterfall is around 2 kilometers from the main town in Amedzofe. Getting there takes a short but enjoyable stroll through the lush forest. The Water fall now has a canopy walkway constructed over it.

6. Mountain Gemi – Amedzofe
Amedzofe is a settlement North of Ho and located in the Ho-West District Assembly. The name Gemi originates from German Missionary in 1939, the Germans decided to build a cross on Mount Gayito to celebrate 50 years in Amedzofe, and they captioned the name German Evangelical Missions Institute on it (GEMI). As more tourists visited the mountain and found GAYITO so difficult to pronounce, they began to refer to it by the abbreviation (GEMI) of the name inscribed on the cross they had seen at the summit.

7. Atorkor Slave Market – Atorkor, Anlo District
As the name suggests, Atorkor in the days of the slave trade, became an important slave market. As a result, an edifice was built in memory of one of Keta’s excellent technical colleges to remember the hardships of the slave’s journey .
The memorial around the walls is a stark reminder of how the chiefs were tricked and bribed into allowing the westerners to take slaves from their tribes.
8. Cape St. Paul Lighthouse – Woe, Anlo District
This ancient light house is located in Woe in the Anlo District of the Volta Region of Ghana, built in the year 1901 can be found just off Keta – Anloga main road. It believed to be oldest Lighthouse in Ghana.

9. Adaklu Mountain – Adaklu
Mount Adaklu is a peak in Ghana’s Volta Region, which is about 12 kilometres from Ho. It is one of Ghana’s highest mountains, at approximately 580 meters above sea level, and is revered by the Ewe ethnic group’s residents in nearby villages. The best thing to do if you wish to visit Adaklu Mountain is booking a hotel or guest house in Ho, the Regional Capital.

10. Tagbo Falls – Liati Wote, Afadzato South District
Tagbo Falls is a waterfall which is near Mount Afadja in Ghana, at Liati Wote, approximately 27 kilometres east of the township of Hohoe. The water falls down in different stages, with the last stage being about 60 m. high. The area is surrounded by rainforest. This is one of the places to visit because it is closer to other tourist sites in the same area.
